Shredding- an intro

Hi gang!
I created this blog to chronicle my experience with the Shred diet.  I saw this on the Dr. Oz show, and thought perhaps-- finally-- I have found a meal plan that will work for me.  I have struggled with my weight for most of my adult life, and have found many temporary fixes.

Alas- they all had a catch.

With no carbs, I missed out on some of my fave foods-- potatoes and bread.
With plans that provide your meals for you, I was successful until I had to go it on my own.
WW was great, but it was at times heartbreaking to work hard all week and go for a weigh-in and find you lost 0.6 of a pound, or worse stayed the same.

Always there was progress and then disappointment.

Could this one be different?
Hmm... you eat 4 meals and 3 snacks per day- I'm liking that- I tend to be a grazer anyways, so smaller meals more often is a plus.  This plan appears to be less restrictive than most- there is always a choice of 3-4 meal options, and as for the snacks, there are over 200 options, plus I can come up with my own, so long as they meet the caloric requirement.  I think this one is worth trying out.

The results they project are noteworthy as well-  the average person loses 4 inches and 2 dress sizes in 6 weeks.  Now you're talkin.  =]

Join me on my journey, as I navigate this new eating plan, and I'll share with you the pros and cons, as well as the ups and downs of my quest.

Stay tuned.  =]
